MY CANVAS
Surrounded by the vistas of spectacular green hills in West Virginia during my youth, I continuously anticipate finding beauty wherever I journey – whether it is in my own little corner of the Sonoran Desert or across the Atlantic Ocean visiting historical sights in Europe!

In a gathering or alone, eating should always be a special occasion. It is about the look of the table and the smell of the home. It is the sound of sizzling vegetables, the feel of warm bread and the first taste. Every sense must be engaged! It is a reminder that eating is more than just sustenance for the body; it is sustenance of life.
Hospitality is my style of life; it is not an exaggeration that it energizes and rejuvenates me. I thrive on the details. From the table settings to the flowers and centerpieces to the placement of the desserts, it is often the smallest nuances, which most people are never even cognizant of, that truly add ambience. When I ultimately create the meal, the tea or the party, it is more than merely food preparation. It is about the anticipation of conversations and laughter, of second helpings and toasts and of reconnections and relaxation.
