I suspect that part of the nurture of my family cultivated my “need” to be hospitable. Some of my earliest memories are of my mom cooking for church events - not that hospitality is about serving and cooking for only church family and friends. Hospitality is about serving others, particularly in your home; it is a way to share the love you have in your heart which in turn should manifest itself into loving and caring for others. We are commanded: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
